HD. Nearly Sucked Up. El Reno Wedge 2.6 Miles Wide. Worlds Widest Tornado
300 hundred miles per hour tornado f5 very dangarous 2.6 miles wide world record
300 mph winds threw tim samaras car 1 mile crazy
That sudden drop in the entire wall cloud is terrifying, a truly deadly tornado.
Please don't tell me the white car they passed was a Chevy Colbalt...
3:10 Was this Samaras' Chevy Cobalt you passed by?
If y’all think that is close, watch Dan Robinsons encounter. The cars that were a little ways behind him didn’t make it out of the tornado.
For some reason, i think that the very moment we were seeing the blue green explode to that red black crazy, we were seeing the the most powerful moment ever in a tornado energy released wise
Could you imagine fleeing a tornado from that distance for over five minutes and it still almost getting you? I would’ve soiled myself when it doubled in size. 😮💨😬
3:54 something about that uneasy sound of the car revving paired with these horrifying visuals of just green and darkness as it "reaches" to pull the other satellites to merge and become bigger is just... no words, this thing was living
I wonder how fast this person was going and what they were driving
The question is: how didn’t you get sucked up??
i can't tell what is and isn't the tornado, even with just google images. looking at images and seeing a 3.3 mile wide tornado is crazy, that's like 7 km big
2.6 miles wide tornado kilked samaras dangerous
why is it glowing
It’s so crazy it looks completely out of range safe and then just sneaked up on people like that, I wonder if there has ever been a tornado weather event like the multiple vortex’s of El Reno tornado? Once in a billion years freak weather happening??
As an Oklahoman, what was the most terrifying thing of that tornado was when all the weather men immediately told the residents of Yukon, Oklahoma City, and Midwest City to get the hell out of the metropolitan area and so many people fled south to Moore or north to Edmond because they literally thought this behemoth was going towards OKC area. Thankfully it gave up by the time it got near Yukon
Imagine u run out of gas ☠️

One of the things i've gathered from watching the el reno videos is that not only was the tornado absolutely MASSIVE, but it was a lot more unpredictable than the average tornado. Normally tornadoes move in the northeast direction, but this one kind of swooped downwards briefly at a southeast direction, and the path looked a little bit like a wide U shape
At 4:21 I’m thinking “they are wayyy too close”
Second that thing hit the ground it grew fast as hell
青白く光る空間…それは、 現世の魔界 🌀🌪️⛈️
Here’s the correct answer: 2.6 miles wide
I didn't pay attention to this when it happened. I'm going to try to stop missing historic events 🌪. Great video 👍👍
I can understand how, tragically, some chasers died. How do you react to a 2.5 mile tornado with its associated facets?
At 3:08 Brendon just came from Reno Rd and turned into 81. Not sure about his path before that. At 4:10 a group of cars came from 15th street, and headed straight ahead to the East. An option Brendan also could have taken, but my gut feeling says he had no plan B at the time. At 4:45 you can see the dark outer edge of the tornado, at this moment Brendan is safe. Though he took some great footage, I'm sure he would have done it differently in hind site!
Total darkness on one side... so black...
You got extremely lucky.
Wait a minute, so if a tornado comes near to you the speedlimits are cancelled and we can drive as fast as I want ???😂 I wanna go there too
It still amazes me a decade later how rapidly this monster grew in size! In fact it sort of reminded of those cheesy tornado movies you'd sometimes see on that Syfy channel haha. Still though I'm glad to see you came out of this storm alive! : )
If this is your footage, you have no idea how close you came to dying.
Of all the excellent videos of the El Reno tornado, this one ain't excellent. A 41 second waste of my time.
el reno: the time the entire mesocyclone dropped down and tried to kill everyone.
How fast are you going😂
The video is only worth watching until 0:10. After that it's just the driver driving a car. Why not continue recording the event from where you were in the beginning instead of making a video of you driving your car?
Caseoh's first day walking outside:
2.6 mile tornado is amazing
So scary!
WOW
The rpm on the motor. You had of just floored it, looks almost like running in place. Damn
That looks surreally scary!
You had approximately one minute to escape before the revival
isnt that the one pecos hank captured? he captured it from another angle
That thing's glowing blue like that one tornado!
Yeah the 1955 blackwell tornado was said to have a mysterious blue glow. This one clearly has it too. Wtf is that?
At certain points it almost appears as if the whole thing is just a nest of huge subvortices with the larger ones concentrated in the middle. Of course I can't prove this, but that's what it looks like to me. What I REALLY want to know is: what are the true wind speeds in the most intense subvortices? I recently read that speculation has been made that some may contain winds upwards of 500-600 mph, but until someone can get a handheld lidar or microwave device directly on one at close range we won't know.
Don't listen to random people on the internet,, especially with tornadoes. Usually people who spread around these "speculations" are kids that want a massive deadly tornado to happen. A DOW (doppler on wheels) is a vehicle that has a radar mounted on the back of it. They measured windspeeds about 300 mph but couldn't scan the center.
At one point it went from bluish greenish to reddish orangish about 4:33 and I was like 😳
Scary monster.
That things sub vortices had sub vortices
Why is it Blue💀
Never seen the green sky thing on the tornado itself that is horrifying
